Grizzly bears weigh around 13oz at birth. Their claws can grow as long as 3 inches long with canine teeth reaching to 1.25 inches. The average grizzly bear taken from our area squares out at 7 to 8 feet. Our success rate during spring hunts is 75%.
Black bears cubs weight approximately 9 oz at birth and vary in color, anywhere from copper to honey to black or brown. Black Bears a quite avid tree climbers as well, when they are not hibernating for 5 to 7 months each year. Our success rate during spring hunts is 100% and during the fall it runs about 60%.
Grizzly Bear and Black Bear Spring hunting season runs from April 15th to June 15th, and our Fall Season runs from September 1st to October 31st. See our price list for pricing and hunt options. |
